We are very grateful and wish to thank everyone who baked for the Cake stall at the recent Parish Fête and to all our members who baked, gave donations and helped on the day. At the time of writing we have raised €970 which is a great result.

Arnie Edge gave us many hints and tips and explained so much when he spoke on the subject of photography. He showed photographs with deliberate mistakes and the same photographs taken correctly.

His photographs were beautifully taken and his love of his subject and his expertise shone through. It was a very successful evening; we learned so much and hope to greatly improve our skills. Thank you Arnie and we look forward to another visit from you at a later date.

At the time of writing members are planning to attend the South East Area meeting on 15th October in St. Paul’s, Glenageary.

Canon Katharine Poulton will be our speaker in November when she talks about her work as a Prison Chaplain and we look forward to her visit. She was to have come to the Branch last February but the meeting had to be postponed due to the heavy snow storm, and we are delighted that she has agreed to come to us next month.

On Thursday 5th November some members will be attending the Holy Communion Service in the M.U. Chapel in Christ Church Cathedral on our turn on the rota.
