Young at HeartThis is a group of parishioners and friends, both ladies and men, who meet on the first Friday of the month in Rosemary Knight's house. They have quizzes, games of scrabble, whist, tales of holidays etc. They start at 2.45p.m. with a cup of tea and the meeting goes on to about 4 p.m. People in the group have got to know each other very well and have a good chat. As for age, the members like to consider themselves 'Young at Heart' . The group is now in its third year. There is a charge of €3 each month and this money is given to the parish in aid of the Payawa School Project. Everyone is very welcome and you will enjoy yourself. Young at Hearts 2008
Young at Hearts started in September 2007. We meet on the first Friday of each month at 43 Clonkeen Drive.
We have a membership of 12 to 16 people, who enjoy Whist, Beetle Drives, various Board Games, Carol Singing, we also have a chat and a cup of tea. Many of our members have got to know other parishioners through our group.
We have been able to donate €386 to the Payawa School Project.
My thanks to Bertha Marsh for her help and to Leonard McKay for his lifts to the Whist Drives,
Rosemary Knight
