FRESH AROMA
The Mothers’ Union Coffee Morning is back with the heady combination of fresh coffee, refreshments, bring-and-buy and fellowship. It is a place to come in and relax in good company and many are making the journey to the Parish Centre on Fridays.
YOUNG AT HEARTS
Young at Hearts kicked off their Autumn programme in Rosemary Knight’s home, reviewing places and scenes encountered during the summer holidays. As usual the venue was a mixture of fun, refreshments and a sense of adventure which belies the age of the members!
BACK IN SWING
After a successful Summer Bowls season, Kill O’The Grange Bowling Club and Clonkeen Bowls have restarted. New members have been welcomed and the club evenings are a build-up to the league programme. Both clubs hope to build on a very successful year in 2008/2009, not only on the mats but in fellowship and fun, and in raising funds for good causes.
GROWING GROUPS A GOING !
Their Story, Our Story is the theme of the studies in the Acts of the Apostles our Home Groups will be exploring. The early Christians took the good news of Jesus from the periphery of the Græco-Roman world right to the centre of the Empire, Rome itself. In our day we need to take the Gospel from the margins to the centre of Irish life. What an aim, for our church family and Growing Groups alike.
