MAY
Dear Friends,
The Christian faith rises or falls on the Resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. If Christ is not risen, then our faith is in vain. At Easter we celebrate the truth and reality of the Resurrection. Christ is indeed risen. Each Sunday, the first day of the week, as we gather for worship, we do so in the presence of the Risen One.
May is a month when all of nature seems to rise. The hedgerows are white, green leaves shine in dappled sunlight. The principle of death and resurrection is written into the very creation by our Creator God. In parish life, too, things die and rise again. This month our Mothers’ Union branch will celebrate 50 years since their re-formation in 1960. For many years the branch lay dormant but since 1960 the Mothers’ Union has been at the heart of parish life in Kill. On the 9th May there will be Service of Celebration and a luncheon at Airfield House to mark the occasion. Members of the Mothers’ Union from St. Jude’s, Belfast, our link branch, will be travelling down to join the festivities. Resurrection in Christ. People and things come alive!
Yours sincerely,
FERRAN
